IMPORTANT REMINDERS
"The parties expect that good faith efforts will be made by both the Union and Management to resolve grievances at the lowest possible level." — APWU CBA Article 15
- Strict 14-Day Deadline: You must initiate a Step 1 discussion within 14 calendar days of the incident. Missing this cutoff often forfeits your right to appeal.
- Representation Rights: Always request a steward during any meeting that could lead to discipline. Stop talking until one is present.
- Documentation: Maintain a personal record of all slips, schedule changes, and official notifications.
